1.Definations

(Any translation of these agreements are done for local requirements and in the event of a dispute between English and non-English versions, the English version of these Agreements will govern)
We are committed to respecting and protecting our users’ privacy.  By interacting with us, the User agrees to accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy, which is subject to our Services Agreement.

1.1   “User” means any person who interacts with Simplehost.sg via online or offline means, and is referred to as “you” or “your”.

1.2   “Simplehost.sg” means Simplehost Solutions Pte Ltd, of 2 Venture Drive #11-16 Visions Exchange Singapore 608526 , a Singapore registered company, and is referred to as “us”, “we” or “our”.

1.3    “Simplehost.sg’s website” or “the website” or “our website” means the website located at Simplehost.sg , at which the domain registration and web services are provided or such other internet address as may be adopted by Simplehost.sg from time to time.

 

2.Type of Information Collected

We receive and store any information the user provides to us, online or offline – for example: by entering the data on our website, via telephone, electronic mail or fax.  This information may be collected when the User registers a domain name or when the User contacts us for customer support.  The types of information we collect may include:

2.1   Contact Information: We are required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (“ICANN”), to collect your contact information during the domain name registration process.  We may also collect information provided to us during the customer support, sales or marketing processes.  Contact information may include your full name, company name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and facsimile number.

2.2   Financial Information: We collect and retain financial information including credit card numbers and billing address for the purpose of fulfilling orders of products and services.

2.3  Online Activity: For the purpose of marketing and improvement of user experience, our servers track the type of Web browser utilized by the User, and the page to which the User links from our website, pages from which the User is referred and User track movements within the website.   “Cookie” technology may be utilized to enhance ease of navigation and improve the reactivity of the website.  Additionally, IP addresses are also logged in order to improve security, analyze trends and administer the website.

 

3.How Personal Information Is Used

3.1   WHOIS Information: ICANN requires us to make contact information associated with each domain name registration available to the public via an interactive web page and a “port 43” WHOIS service.  This public information includes the domain holder’s full name, company name and contact details, creation and expiration dates of the domain name registration and the associated name server information.  We do not control how members of the public may utilise such WHOIS Information.

3.2   Service Related Use:  All information provided to us will be utilised to fulfill our service-provision role e.g. contacting the User personally or electronically to coordinate, remind, and notify the User in relation to products and services that the User has ordered from us, or may be interested to purchase.   Recipients of newsletters or newsflash can opt-out by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link on the email message.

3.3   Statistical Use:  Collective data may be provided to third parties for purpose of market study or general analysis reasons.  Such information will not provide the identity of individual Users.

3.4   Use by Registries:  Contact and financial information related to domain name registration may be forwarded to the appropriate registry handing the administration of your chosen TLDs.   The respective Registries must, where applicable, also comply with rules and policies as required by ICANN.

3.5   Use by Agents and Service Providers: We engage other companies, individuals, subsidiaries and affiliates to provide products and services for our customers.   Examples may include processing credit card payments or the supply of various web products and services.   Users’ personal and financial information would be collected by our agents and service providers in order that they may fulfill their roles, and are obligated to utilise personal information in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

3.6   Usage with express consent:  Any account that uses Simplehost.sg and creates an account will abide to allow the provider simplehost.sg to be able to use as portfolio or marketing materials.

3.7   Retention of past data:  We may retain Users’ information after services have been terminated.  Such information may be required to resolve disputes, enforce our Terms and Conditions, as well as conform to technical and legal requirements related to the security, integrity, and operation of the website.

 

4.Disclosure of Personal Information

Personal information provided by Users may be disclosed:

4.1   To any of our employees, officers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors in so far as reasonably necessary for the purposes as set out in this Privacy Policy

4.2   When required by government or law enforcement authority or regulatory agency, including ICANN; to enforce or apply our Services Agreement or other agreements; or when we believe in good faith that disclosing this information is necessary or advisable, including, for example, to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.  This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud prevention and credit risk reduction

5.How Personal Information is Protected

5.1   Use of SSL Technology:  the security of Users’ personal information is protected by utilizing Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) software, which encrypts the personal information you provide via our website.

5.2   Login Access:  to view or change information provided to us, Users may access their account by logging into the SSL-protected zone. It remains Users’ responsibility to protect against unauthorized access to their account, and to their computer.  Users are advised to log out when finished, especially when using a shared computer or network.
